May 14th- A Normal School Day in Dalian

Whether you're taking a college class at OSU or at DMU, you still have to go to class! After a quick breakfast of yummy Chinese bread (called a stump bread!), I was off to Dr. Sun's second class. This time we talked about a paper from a journal that I learned is very important for Public Health people (the Lancet). Afterwards, it was a normal sandwich for lunch followed by another class taught by Claire, our graduate assistant.

But like any college course, college isn't all work and no play! My buddies came over to pick me up, so while we waited to go to dinner, I taught them how to play UNO. One thing led to another and next thing I know, my room is PACKED with people! Soon some of my new OSU friends and buddies were in on the fun, and we played a couple of games before we decided to all grab dinner together. I still don't have this "ordering food in China when you don't speak Chinese" down yet, so my buddies (Lee and Ash) helped me order some fried rice! Once dinner was done, however, we didn't go home! Instead we went to the beach and had fun taking pictures and throwing stones. I really love all the Chinese buddies! Having them around makes things so much more fun. :)
